The Neptune

2010 Private commission
This mural was painted on an interior wall of The Neptune, a 60' aluminum research vessel converted for recreational use. The Neptune was involved in recovering the wreck of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald. With its home port of Beaver Island, Michigan, the mural shows a map Lake Michigan, a mariner's compass, a stock anchor, a sextant, and is flanked on either side by a fleur de lis.
